The Giants signed defensive tackle Jay Bromley, their third-round draft pick and last of their 2014 rookie class, to what’s believed to be a four-year deal.
Bromley, 6-4 and 307 pounds, was the 74th overall selection in the NFL Draft held last month. He played in 50 games at Syracuse University, where he was credited with 121 tackles (71 solo), 25.5 tackles for losses and 13 sacks, including 10 in 2013, when he was a senior captain for the Orange.
In addition, New York signed free agent linebacker Terrell Manning (6-2 and 237 pounds), a three-year veteran who has played in six regular-season games (five with Green Bay in 2012 and one with San Diego last year) and in two postseason games for the Packers in 2012.
Manning, who played his college ball at North Carolina State, is a former fifth-round draft pick of the Packers in 2012. He will provide depth at linebacker while Jon Beason is sidelined for at least three months with a broken foot.
